Thank you for your testimony!

THANK YOU so much for submitting testimony on such short notice to the Joint Committee on Semiconductors this past week. YOU are an amazing group of folks! We appreciate your sacrificing your time to weigh in for the benefit of rural reserve farmland. As we learned during the Urban/Rural Reserves process in 2009-2014, it is a good thing to come in with a show of strength at the beginning so the decision makers see our commitment and conviction.

A big THANKS to the following people for submitting testimony:

  • Robert Bailey - Save Helvetia Board
  • Linda de Boer -Save Helvetia Board
  • Cherry Amabisca - Save Helvetia Board

HOW TO READ PEOPLE'S TESTIMONY:

If you wish to read the testimony that was submitted over the two nights of public testimony, 1/30 and 2/1, here are the steps:

  1. Go to: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2023R1/Committees/JSEMI/2023-01-30-17-00/ Agenda
  2. Go to right side of the page to "Meetings". Testimony is contained in two dates: 1/30/23 and 2/1/23. Select the date you desire.
  3. Go to the top left of the page and select "Meeting Materials". You will see a list of names of people who have submitted testimony.
  4. Click on each name to read their testimony.

WHAT'S NEXT?

We'll stay on top of this. Senator Sollman, Co-Chair, stated vaguely that the Committee expected to wrap up its work before the end of February. We are working to obtain a schedule of the decision timeline and will let you know as soon as possible.
